Description Awww...he turned out so nicely in color!

A-hem. I decided to draw in a Moe chibi style to see how Matt would look. Then I decided to try coloring him all Moe-like, too...this is the result.

He can't speak; I'm think he's lost his voice. Poor thing.

Drawn with gel pen, then scanned and colored with Photoshop CS2 and Wacom Graphire 4 tablet.

Matt is from the anime/manga Death Note, and belongs to Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.

Yeah, I decided to try a different chibi style, so I drew his face and body both differently. The little stumpy limbs look cute if done right, but I've messed them up before...LOL.

Thanks! Moe is a style that draws people younger-looking and adorable. "Moe" is pronounced "MOW-ey" ("ey" as in the word "hey") and literally means "budding" in Japanese, like the character looks about preteen age I guess?

Anyway, the term "Moe" is used to refer to people's affection for any kind of anime or manga character, too, which can be confusing. In Ouran High School Host Club, some of the fangirls actually say at one point, "Thanks for the Moe!" because they'd been fangirling over something the guys had been doing earlier.
