Ok, hear me out on this one.Unicorns and sparkles aren't my usual fare and I felt silly a few times while working on this. But I recently rewatched The Last Unicorn (a childhood favorite) on Netflix and decided to try drawing a unicorn. Things got out of hand and now here we are.

Recovery is going much slower than I hoped for, and I'm still in pain. But doctor said it could be a month or more, and I'm only on 2 weeks. Just learning a lesson in patience the hard way.

Oh gosh, I loved that movie as a kid! I loved the Kenny Loggins song as well. Seriously, it's like you're taking your inspiration straight from my childhood.

I don't think you should have felt silly about this! You just did something that is not your usual thing, put yourself
way out of your comfort zone. This is a fantastic painting, as always, but I think more so since you weren't really
comfortable while you painted it.

Seriously, this comment is awesome and I really appreciate it. This sounds cliché but I think it really can be a little weird sharing art when you don't know what to expect for a response. But it also makes it doubly rewarding to get positive feedback. Thank you

Cliche or not, it doesn't make it any less true. If we have worked on something that we aren't
feeling the most confident about, for whatever reason (theme is outside out comfort zone, there
is something not quite right about it that we can't put our finger on etc) then to post it online
is a rather nerve-racking experience. We're a little more vulnerable towards any potentially harsh
comments we receive. It is very rewarding when you don't get slammed over an image that you're
not confident about.
What people don't seem to understand is, no matter the skill of the artist, we all have our vulnerable
moments and it's really nice when we're not gutted like a fish and roasted when they occur.
