[EN] Hiellow, peeps! Here's how I made my Hiro Hamada Helmet, step by step:

1. LEE-BO generously sent me a the 3D model on the left. Using Pepakura Designer, I arranged the pieces, and, once printed, used them as the base pattern.
2. I cut the pieces out of EVA floor mats, heatformed them with a heat gun and glued them together with contact cement. The side panel was patterned out of tape and cut out of craft foam.
3. I bevelled and cleaned the edges with my Dremel tool. Instead of glueing the top to the other pieces, it was glued under to make the indent. The side and front details were made out of EVA and carved with the Dremel, then cuts were made and opened up with a heat gun in the circle.
4. I added upholstery foam as padding to hold the helmet in the proper place (and like it seems to have in the reference). To hide the seams, I tried using wood glue this time - not the best method but it worked for this project.
5. The helmet ears were made out of K-line sandwiched between carved pieces of EVA to give them stability. These were all glued with contact cement, shaped with the Dremel, and then smoothed with Aquaplast and TOO MUCH SANDING (I wanted to sand more but I didn't have enough time). Finally, I primed the whole helmet with black Plastidip to get it ready for acrylic paint!
