I don't know what it is about foxes, but somehow they seem so.....different...I know it must be my human imagination, but sometimes it feels like look right through you and in rare cases they even give you a funny smile...

I think animals can smile, cry etc. I have a two cats and I saw that they do lot of expression on they sweet face.

Foxes are actaully quite smart.
Although we do have the most complex cognitive mechanisms know amoing animals, I truelly believe that they have a lot of evolutionary antecedents, many shared with common ancesters with other animal groups.
That said, I think it would be really strange if at least the most advanced mammals didnt have some faint traces of true conscience. I wouldnt say they think like humans, that would be just strange, but a lot of studies start to make scientists believe that other animals are actually much more intelligent than we thought.
It makes sense, at least in my mind.
