Description
A port of the popular Mire v2 suite for Windows with 5 colour schemes, blue, lime, orange, pink and grey.Requires Murrine and Pixmap engines.
Packages includes:
Gtk2
Metacity
Xfwm
Emerald
Firefox Css fix
INSTALL individually, not with the theme manager. Decided to rename MurrinaMire v2 to Mire v2 for easy installation so remove any old MurrinaMirev2 themes in your directory if you have any.

I am currently editing one of my theme called Dyne for gtk3. So far, it looks good. I hope to release it as soon as possible and also some of my themes including Mire v2 as well when I have the time

Hi, really great theme but I'm wondering how to get the window borders skinned as well. I used the theme manager to install the theme, but do not know how to do it any other way.
I'm pretty sure the rest of the theme is working properly, but the window border (top of windows, with minimise, maximise, close buttons) is not getting skinned.
Help would be much appreciated.

To get the window borders skinned, you need to use a window manager. They are called metacity, compiz-fusion or compiz and xfwm for xfce4. I will presume that you are using gnome and use metacity as a wm so just click on System>

Linux noob here, I was wondering if this works with the latest ubuntu release..I believe ubuntu is based off of GTK but wanted to verify before taking any chances

Oh okay, and for the icons, you could try buuf [link] or gion [link] or look in gnome-look.org for some tango icons. Some of them comes in different colours.

Did you install the murrine engine? I'm not sure I understand you. I need more details. Try installing the engine first.

yeah i installed murrine, after i had commented. sorry! i was unaware of the necesisty of murrine, as i'm new. lol

I download this, then extracted it. All I see is 3 emerald themes (Orange, blue and lime.) and hree start buttons. I then check my home/.themes folder like previous said, there is nothing for Mire. I then check the home/.emerald/themes/ folder and there is nothing relating to Mire except the 3 unpacked emerald themes.
I just don't see where this has the GTK/MetaCity themes. :/

When you extracted it, you should see the 3 emerald themes, 3 start button and .theme folder. Just put the .theme in your home folder. Also it is not .themes but .theme. And also make sure that it is not hidden.
