Ah, this brings back so many memories of my visit to the Netherlands.
It definitely was my favorite country that I've been to.

It was your favorite? I can hardly imagine, but the grass is always greener on the other side, I long for countries that are big & spacious, did you know that the Netherlands are but one most heavely populated countries compared to surface??

I went to the Netherlands this past summer to Amsterdam and Zaanse Schans [link]. I live in Florida, in the United States.
The Netherlands is so delightful. Everyone is so accepting of others who are different from them. Here in America, most people hate other people who are slightly different from themselves; it's horrible. Also, the whole atmosphere and vibe of the Netherlands was great. It felt so care-free and peaceful and happy. Another great thing was that the whole country is into preserving the environment. I am a huge environmentalist, and I feel as though I am one of the only ones in the U.S. that actually cares about the planet.
That's an interesting fact about the Netherlands being so densely populated. I thought that the architecture in Amsterdam was delightful with the tall, skinny buildings. It's true--the grass is always greener on the other side.
