I'm sorry but for the longest, longest time this was such a one-sided relationship. We know Aang was head over heels crazy about Katara, while Katara treated him more like a loved little brother. There really wasn't any build-up, just a sudden shift at the very end of the series. I think Katara would have eventually come around but,... yeah, wasn't thrilled with how they suddenly became an overnight couple. XD;;;Aang looks like such a dorky fanboy here. XD And Katara is like, "Wha??"

I agree. Sure, there were a few suggestions that maybe Katara might consider Aang as someone other than a little brother (mostly I'm thinking bk3, ch2, "The Headband", how Katara reacted after Sokka mentioned Aang and Angie "looked good together", as well as bk3, ch10, "The Invasion", where it looked like, for a second, Katara MIGHT reciprocate the kiss)... but most of the "suggestions" are pretty open to interpretation.
And like you mentioned, there's nothing wrong with Katara and Aang getting together... but personally, I just wished it wasn't so sudden, especially after her recoiling from his kiss in "The Ember Island Players" and saying she was confused about the whole thing.
I remember reading a one-shot fanfic... don't remember where I found it, but it was a scene between Katara and Zuko after defeating Azula, with Katara basically working out her feelings about Aang--and frankly, I really liked how it made the Kataang kiss scene at the end seem more believable. Personally, I'd say something like that would have been much better than Katara looking at Aang at the end and suddenly deciding she wanted to make out with him.
(cough) Anyway, it is an amusing picture AND true to the canon!

I always kind of wonder why somebody would do this sort of thing. What is the motive of telling me this? The pic was a bunch of innocent fun. It was poking fun at Katara's complete and utter obliviousness at Aang, Katara's biggest fan crushing hard on her and she barely notices. I felt that, damn, that must be fustrating as hell to Kataangers who really want them to get together, but Katara shows nothing but sincere sisterly love and concern for Aang. It's one reason I prefer Jetara since at least the feelings are mutual, you know? The only reason those two weren't together in the end is because we assume he died in that one episode. You know which one I'm referring to too~.
But honestly, it almost seems like you're trying to pick a fight. Just don't. We can all be cool. Right?
Congrats on getting me to type an assload of crap in response to this, though. XD;;; Good lord, I'm usually so quiet and you throw this in and I have no clue how to react to it. Bwah.

Bwah,... the fortune teller episode is really open to interpretation. I've seen a few other Katara pairings defend themselves with that episode too. Just sayin'~. I could name a couple of these if you like? :3
The cave of two lovers episode really isn't as great a piece of evidence for the Aang x Katara shippers as you would think. But if you wanna throw that out then go ahead. When they suggest a kiss, Aang screws up and insults Katara insinuating that he wouldn't want to kiss her anyway, and the feeling quickly becomes mutual. When they do attempt it, the kiss is implied and there's nothing that truelly proves it happened. And even if it did, so what?
The pairing just seemed way too forced for me and didn't proceed as naturally as I would have liked it to. Yeah, it was cute and childish but for Katara to fall for Aang she would have needed more time. Even with Aang being forward, just because he shows intrest doesn't mean she *has* to reciprocate those feelings, or at least not right away.
I'm still allowed to have my opinion. It's not like I'm saying Kataang sucks or anything. I JUST DON'T CARE FOR IT. Personally, I'm more towards her and her canon crush, Jet, being together, but that's just me. Jetara ftw.
And yes, I still think that Katara was extreemely oblivious to Aang's feelings til near the last few episodes when she started to realize "Hey, does Aang like-like me??" Duh! It still doesn't mean that this realization means she has to automatically jump into Aang's open arms without a thought. Let's give her a little more credit than that.
You really don't need to prove anything to me. I'm not changing my mind. You like Kataang? That's great. I prefer Jetara, BUT THAT'S ME. I'd like to think I'm entitled to like various pairings (and not care for others).
