A MESSAGE TO ALL FRIENDS, WATCHERS, AND USERS. PLEASE READ:

Hey everyone. Hope you’re all having a great day on your ends because on my end as I am posting this picture, there had been way too much going on from my end with one of them being sick with stomach pain and lightheadedness that has made it harder for me to do pictures.

As most of you who have been noticing the past few days, I have been doing pictures featuring different friends and users online because it’s what’s currently on my mind right now to do and I’m really having some fun doing it. I had currently been working on another picture though it had to be put on hold because of me being sick recently. Because of that, I wanted to share another picture in its place until I fully recover.

The picture you’re seeing above was going to be uploaded much earlier until I used it as my banner icon and thought about releasing the actual full picture due to how much has been going on over on my end recently as it’s a full on picture that I did for reaching my 10 year milestone here online. I decided to wait for a bit until I had the strength to type this message and be able to share this for everyone to enjoy.

The description you’ll be reading was typed around during the beginning of March around when I was still feeling well before I decided to go with this picture being my profile picture.

And one more thing to share, as I am doing pictures for others, I will be doing ones that are similar to what's shown above with them fully being in the picture. It'll be sometime before I do one of these though it's something that I might do later on with some.

Hello there everyone, It's Thunder Artist here who as you read above, was busy doing other stuff and also fell sick while also having an interesting fun time on my end before it happened, especially since I did get another chance to return to the mall of which had been a huge staple of my childhood and it was truly a great time for me because it all felt like I was a child in the 2000s as the mall is always frozen in time from the 2000s and it's just so awesome. I even got to eat some special popcorn that they only sell at that mall and I loved it so much with all my heart...

But, I think it's time that I now want to share a little something that I want to talk about with friends, watchers, and users all around here. And what I mean by that, I mean many, many people that have supported my pictures and you're wondering to yourself, "Why is that Thunder? Why am I thanking everyone for all of the lovely support I've gotten from the many pictures I've made?"

Well, a good while ago, I had finally reached the 10 year milestone since I first came onto the platform of DeviantArt and from the very day all the way back in March of 2014, I had been doing low quality pictures and somehow getting friends along the way, despite how difficult it was for me to make pictures back then as I only had access to MS Paint at the time alongside Adobe Illustrator and I was still trying to figure out how to work out all of the tools in both programs so that I could do pictures and share them online with users that would get some enjoyment out of them.

Ever since I had came here onto DeviantArt from Nintendo's Miiverse, along the way from early March 2014 all the way to March 2024, I've met tons, and tons of users here online which have really put a huge smile on my face and made me who I am as an artist today and throughout all of my entire time on here, I've had a lot of fun spending time chatting with friends and having lots of RPs with my characters during my very early years which actually helped me in giving lots of life into the characters I would make throughout my time on here.

My life on DeviantArt thanks to the many friends I've made online from it would also continue to make my life in real life outside of the platform that much more awesome and I've loved it ever since and I still do to this very day because I've been able to collect lots of merchandise from the series that we all love so much and I got to go to a convention in Bellevue, Washington and meet the voice actors and actresses from the series which was a massive treat thanks to the love and support that I've gotten from the many friends and users online that I've met.

And so my heart goes out to lots of friends and users that made me who I am today. 10 years of making tons of pictures that brought in lots of love from all of you from 2014 to 2024. I myself am so surprised that I made it this far as since it's now been 11 years since I first began watching the series and now it's been 10 since I first came onto the internet to make pictures for everyone's enjoyment to see and support from what I can make all thanks to the lovely Photoshop program which has truly made me make some of the best pictures that I've ever made in my entire life of being here on the platform.

Because of that, I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart so much for all of the lovely support that you have all given me in making so many pictures throughout my 10 years of me being on the platform. It really means a lot to me and it's awesome!

And because of all that, I wanted to share a little something that while it's a bit simple, it's something that I've originally planned so long ago before changing it into what it is today and I think now is the time for me to finally share it with all of you on here because I love you all and I hope you all enjoy with what I have to share above.

So, what are we all seeing above here? It's just Thunder drawing a picture of himself with three others... or as I should properly say it, It's just Thunder drawing a picture of "herself" with three others. Yeah, that's right everyone! The Thunder Artist that you're looking right at in this very picture is actually female and she's got the goth look to her alongside it all as well because that's the personality that she has with her.

Alright, alright. Some of you are probably laughing or so confused as to why Thunder is female in this picture and I'll share with all of you why that is. When I first created Thunder in the summer of 2013, I had no idea what gender I wanted him to be because I really loved the female look that he had during the very early days of me creating him. I did create him as if it was myself as him though this has since changed and now Thunder is more of a character that is his own instead of it fully being based on myself. However, despite all of that, Thunder had eyelashes because I thought they went very well with him and I myself actually really did love them. I should also mention that both his hair and tail were placeholders at the time as I couldn't do hair or tails for him until a while later.

When I shared Thunder online with other users back in 2014, many users were confused from conversations I've had about Thunder's gender with me saying he's a male with a female look to him. That alongside the placeholder hair and tail that I had for Thunder at the time confused many of which it was when I had to change Thunder's design in a way that I would continue forward for my future on the platform. While coming up with ideas on how I wanted to change Thunder before going forward, I first thought of having him be of both genders which is what I went for a bit before I wanted to really change Thunder in a way that I myself wanted Thunder to be.

The idea that I had in mind was to have Thunder be goth and female which I thought was really cool, especially since I really love the goth culture myself to this very day. However, I felt that having Thunder being a female goth for my future going forward would be difficult because I would refer to Thunder as a male with a female look to him. And so because of that, I dropped the goth personality from Thunder and had him be a male with a more awesome personality and this is what I would continue to have Thunder be up to this very day and I love it so much because the awesome male personality he has makes me love him so much more than ever now.

Despite me changing the female goth personality to a male awesome personality, the only thing that was unchanged from when I had the idea of Thunder being goth is the part of his hair that nearly covers his eye. I loved it so much that I had this unchanged while also adjusting it in a way that goes with his awesome personality so that he can still see with both of his eyes. And I also removed the eyelashes so that everyone online will know that Thunder is a male.

And I've had this female goth idea ever since and while I have made a few pictures that referenced this idea in the past, they were only just made for fun. Thunder did look awesome as a female goth which I loved very much.

And yeah, when the time finally came for my 10 year milestone of being here on the platform, I had many ideas of what I wanted to make on here and I wanted to do this because I thought it would be fun and show friends, watchers, and users on what could've been if I had continued to have Thunder with his or as I should say, "her" female goth look to this day.

Alrighty, now I think it's time that I now talk about the picture. It's very basic because I wanted to make something not having so many effects with backgrounds and stuff. I wanted to do something simple and that would still be loved by people nonetheless. So, let's get right to it. shall we?

Of course, the major part of the picture that I have to talk about is Thunder herself which of course is everything that I mentioned in the story above with Thunder originally being a female goth during my early days of being on here. While the design of Thunder is mostly inline with the actual Thunder that I would continue to have and be loved by myself and my friends here online, it's the goth make-up that makes it different. It's mostly just eyeshadow and lipstick that I legit actually think goes so well with Thunder that it actually makes me laugh just by looking at it. The fact that I wanted Thunder to be a female goth so long ago was really something that it legit makes me really wonder what things would've been if I had went with Thunder being goth going forward. I'm just imagining all of the pictures I've made on Thunder on here with her goth look and me having a laugh from that.

While the hair and tail are also unchanged from the Thunder everyone knows today, what I did do is make it in a way that felt a bit more longer to goth with her goth personality, and you can see it with part of Thunder's hair covering her eye which like the make-up she has, is something that I love so much and makes me laugh just by looking at it.

And I made her hold a pencil with her wing, which is actually the first time I think I've ever shown this online and that is that Thunder uses his/her wings as hands instead of flying. I always loved Thunder with a horn and wings though he/her doesn't use his/her wings much and so I wanted to have those be as if they were hands and I really love the way I have Thunder holding a pencil which is in the shape of a thunderbolt which is just awesome and I really love it.

And right beside Thunder we have a drawing that was all drawn by her with herself alongside three others within the same drawing. That pencil Thunder is holding must be awesome because she was able to draw all of that using that pencil she's holding.

Anyways, as I was saying. We have Thunder and three others in the drawing that we can see off to the left here. Of course everyone knows that Thunder can be seen within the drawing on the lower right but who are the rest of the three that are alongside her? Well, it's three other characters that I myself have made long ago, two of which have made it within my gallery here while one with the diamond floating above her head is certainly a little special.

While at first these may just be simple drawings of Thunder and her three friends as you can see on the left, the poses that Thunder and two of his friends are in are actually referencing older pictures that are found within my gallery from my early years around 2014 - 2015. I even had to go on a bit of a nostalgic trip through my gallery to look at a lot of my older pictures which was truly something and I really loved it. Because of my nostalgic trip through my older pictures, it really makes me want to revisit a lot of my older pictures and characters that I've made so long ago and present them in a way today with what I can do with Photoshop.

I truly had a lot of fun referencing my older pictures in such a way that it makes me love this picture a lot more thanks to it.

As for the third friend that Thunder has with the diamond floating above her head... well...that's a little something for another time because I'd love to do more pictures with her later on when the time comes.

Anyways, this was a really special picture that I wanted to make to celebrate my 10 year milestone of being on DeviantArt and being loved so much by the many friends, watchers, and users that I've met here which has been so awesome and I'm so glad that I've been able to make some really awesome pictures that all of you have loved so much of being with me for so long.
