The morning came and to no surprise, Anika walked out the door to find the quill from last night outside waiting. “Glad to see you came.” Anika gave her a polite smile, despite Elidi’s slightly annoyed look. “It was either here or jail, I didn’t exactly have a choice.” Elidi retorted with a huff. “That doesn’t mean I’m not glad you’re here. Now come, let me show you around and help you get settled.” The imp turned and walked back inside with the other not far behind. She gave her a brief tour around the large house before bringing her to a large room with a bed, dresser, and a closet. “This is where you’ll be staying. My father had one of the maids clean it last night after I asked him about you staying.” She explained, moving to Elidi could walk into the room. Her eyes were wide as she looked around, setting her items wrapped in a rag down. She had honestly expected just a small room with maybe a mat to sleep on, not a fully decked out room! “Wow…. Thank you.” She said just under her breath, glancing towards Anika. The imp nodded slightly, walking over to the closet as Elidi explored a bit, digging around in the clothes before pulling out some fabric and a sewing kit. “Come over here, I need to get this fitted to you.” She turned to Elidi and wrapped the cloth around her neck, folding the fabric neatly and starting to sew it in place. “Is this really necessary…?” Elidi asked with a grumble. Anika kept her attention on the ribbon as she tied it with care, making sure it was perfect. “Of course it is. If you’re going to work for me, you need to look proper. And besides, anyone who sees the color will know you’re mine.” She replied as she continued her work, fussing with it to ensure perfection. “Now just stay still so I can work.” Elidi rolled her eyes a bit, watching in silence for a moment. “You said you talked to your father about me staying here?” She asked, getting an annoyed sigh from the imp. “Yes, I told him about last night, he is aware you were a thief.” Elidi tilted her head in surprise, getting a hiss from Elidi as the fabric shifted from the movement. “Wait really? How did you ever get him to agree to me being here then?” She asked, ears flicking back as Anika remained silent, her eyes locked onto her work. “Ani-” “I heard you.” Anika cut her off, tying off the thread and snapping it with her teeth, making a few last adjustments before stepping back to get a look, giving an approving nod. “We came to an agreement. I get to keep you around as my servant so you can learn how to do your job before the trip.” Elidi’s expression turned to one of confusion. “What trip? What are you talking about?” She chirped. “I made a deal with him. You’re going to work for me, and in turn I go on a…. Business trip he set up with you accompanying me. We’re leaving in two weeks.” Anika explained. “A business trip…? To where?” “Chii you are nosey!” Anika hissed, shaking her head as she put the leftover materials away. “It’s a little town to the east. Called Wynsiph….”
