The latest piece for my SCAD portfolio.This piece originated back when I did the Vampirella picture. I loved the piece all and all, especially the pose, but I just didn't feel like I did my absolute best on it. I decided that it wouldn't go in the portfolio.
But I couldn't get that pose out of my head.
I had to use that pose. I thought and thought and thought who would be the best subject. Then I remembered seeing PoisonIvy in similar poses. She was perfect. So I drew it out on a BIG piece of paper mid-December. I planned on coloring it with Copic markers, but I didn't have the right colors.
Fast forward to yesterday. Over a month of collecting dust, I pulled out the sketch and threw some oil pastels on it.
Utter Disaster.
I HATED it. And I don't usually hate my stuff. I had to redo it. And that's what I did. I did this piece today. Took me around 10 hours straight. I love Adderall.
I tried to do it in an Adam Hughes-esque style, but with more of my own style put in. I'm very pleased with how this one turned out.
