Description Beautiful jobs come to me sometimes. This was for a son - a portrait of his mother, who has passed, and his newborn niece walking in the garden of Eden. I worked on this for 14 hours straight. Near the end I was almost in a trance, and I swear I could feel this woman's loving influence pushing my pen around.

I am honored to have been given this job, though I barely feel qualified to represent such an important subject!Β

This is so beautiful! Β And hush your mouth -- you are clearly qualified! Β You still have your mojo, you just gotta get reused to the feeling of using it.

Gorgeous. The golden light and her halo are a work of art.

This looks as though it was done with oil pants! It's simply wonderful.
The balance of subjects and colors isn't overwhelming nor underwhelming.
I love how you used both crisp lines and soft/smooth ones, it really goes with the theme of the picture.
Great color theory, those yellows, greens, and purples are so nice together.

Thank you! At some point, I subconsciously shifted away from the super crisp digital look and started trying to mimic oil painting. But 'zoom blindness' still gets the better of me now and then. Β

Yeah--I'm a sucker for details no one will ever see.
It makes me feel better because I know it's perfect, but...
No one will ever see it or know the work I put into it, haha!
It takes a lot of time too, unfortunately.Β

It's really awesome that you're trying out new things,Β
and you're doing a really good job with it.
Then again, all of your work is awesome,
so whatever you do is impressive.

Keep up the good work!
