Rafe glanced up at his boss. "All right, Teej, what canary did you eat?"

TJ couldn't stop her grin from widening. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Rafe opened his mouth to rebuke her when a shrill human scream erupted from the paddocks outside the office building. He bolted toward the sound, hoping to save whatever person was dying, leaving TJ sitting on the ground laughing her ass off.

Halfway to the paddocks, a shirtless Keegan sprinted around the corner and slammed into him.

"What the--?"

"Where is she?!" Keegan grabbed Rafe by the throat and shook him wildly. Distantly, Rafe wondered how the hell such a wimpy man could have such a strong grip, but then his mind was consumed with figuring out how to get air back in his crushed windpipe.

"Whe-re's... who?" he choked out.

"TJ!" Keegan was actually foaming at the mouth now. Like, literally. It was becoming quite alarming. "I just know she hid that monster in the empty paddock for me to find!"

"Aw, come on, Keegan," TJ giggled softly from behind them. At least she was smart enough to stay out of strangling distance. "You'll hurt his feelings if you keep talking like that."

Keegan let go of Rafe--who immediately sucked in great gulps of air--to point to his shirt. Or lack thereof. "That beast ripped my new dress shirt clean off!" he shrieked.

Rafe, who was still bent over gasping, glanced at TJ. "What..." More gasps. "What did you buy?"

TJ just grinned her canary grin and pointed.

All three looked over to the closest paddock, where a hybrid colt stood along the fenceline with his head was bobbing up and down between the slats. Hanging from his tiny muzzle was a now-dirty men's dress shirt.

Genes: Not going there
Temperment: Hell on wheels. Zini inherited his sire's wild instincts. He is tame (kind of) around humans, having been raised around them, but he doesn't like being told what to do. Kind of reminds you of El Diablo at that age, huh...?
