Description
It was a peaceful day at the Tree of Life. Shujaa had left his Maua for a short moment sleeping by one of the many lakes within the kingdom while he collected a bunch of flowers to give to her when he returned. Well, he was doing that until Shujaa's two younger sisters, Jua and Mkali were seen by him running around unsupervised. He didn't see neither of his parents or any other member of the Night Pride for miles. Shujaa knew that his little sisters where still too young to stray too far from their mother, Tiifu or even leave the tree den and with threats still looming around their home it was unsafe for the girls to be wondering about on their own just yet, so he rushes over to his little sisters and looks at them in a questioning manner as he gathers them up.

Shujaa: "Mkali?! Jua?! What are you two doing so far from home?"

Jua: "Hi ShuShu!"

Mkali: "Jua and I are on an adventure! We're off to defeat the evil Vihar!"

Shujaa's face grew concerned as they mentioned the name of the long dead king of the Winter Pride. It was a shock when word finally reached the Tree of Life that Vihar had been found dead. It was a shock but a huge relief that tyrant would no longer be a threat to any of their lives ever again. Shujaa's father, King Kion only said "Good Riddance." While his mother heaved a hefty sigh of relief. Either way he was no longer a threat, and the Winter Pride must have scattered because no sign of the snow lions had been seen in the months following the death of their “Mad-King” BUT that didn’t mean they’re where still other threats at paw. Shujaa shook those dark thoughts clear of his mind and looked down at both cubs as his bright green eyes shifted back and forth between his younger sisters.

Shujaa: “Does Mom and Dad know you’re out here alone?”

Both of the sisters went silent their fun and laughter coming to a sudden end as they each looked at the other guilt showing in each pair of their eyes. They refused to look up at their older brother as Shujaa gave them a stern look only a parent would give their child.

Shujaa: “Girls… I asked you both a question, does either mom nor dad know you’re out here and playing alone unsupervised?”

Mkali: “No….”

Jua: “Mommy and Daddy said they had to go to a neighboring kingdom to speak with another queen about grown up matters and Mommy said just before she left that we could play outside until they returned. We aren’t causing any trouble! Please, Shujaa don’t tell Mommy we don’t want to get in trouble again!”

Shujaa: "I don’t think Mom meant you could wander the kingdom of your own free will, Jua. I think she might have meant you two could play outside of the royal den a short distance but no further. Listen to me girls, you’re both still very young and small and even though The Tree of Life is a safe place to find peace and sanctuary for those of us who are weak, injured, or even sick there are still those dangerous around our home. You know the stories of the former queen, Queen Rani and her unhealthy relationship with Vihar. Well, there are other animals out there with the same intentions are Vihar or even worse. Which is why for both of your safety until you are big enough to defend yourselves you are to remain within the royal den of all times or if you want to go on adventure then tell an older lion and always make sure to tell Mom or Dad before you leave. Do both of you understand what I'm telling you girls?"

Jua and Mkali both nodded and the stern look disappeared as he started to turn into the fun and loving older brother the girls knew him as. He grabbed them into a big hug and both of Shujaa's little sisters hugged him back.

On the way back to the tree Shujaa watched on happily as his little sisters played a game of tag with one another. That's when he saw a lioness with a light golden pelt who was close to his age sunning herself as two more lioness cubs just starting to come into their teenage years talking amongst themselves. Two of them where his half-sisters, Sawa and Shani while the other was a good friend of his that came to live in the Pride Lands after her life had been hell here for the first year of her life. He was stunned to see her among his sister's or should he say their sisters as she and them shared their late mother, Rani.

Shujaa: "Amela?! Is that you!"

Amela: "Hey Shujaa!!"

Amela ran across halfway to meet with Shujaa the two old and close friends nuzzled Sawa and Shani both got up and followed after their half-sister.

Shujaa: "When did you get in? Are you alone? Is Uzani with you or any of my other family? Never mind my ramblings. How are you?"

Amela lets out a chuckle before she breathes a light sigh.

Amela: "First off. I'm fine, Shujaa and everything back at home is functioning peacefully. Your sister is in fact here and so is your Uncle Kovu and Mukasa came along with us as well. Everyone else is back at home keeping everything together."

Shujaa: "That's a relief. I'll have to catch up with Uzani soon. We may live apart but the two of us have a bond no other lion can understand. It's like the bonds two siblings share who were born together at the same time. Chiku & Mukasa, Sawa & Raja, Shani & Baraka (even if he is adopted) and of course Uzani and me." That's when Shujaa's gaze shifts down towards his sisters who look up at the bigger teens with questioning gazes and Amela's eyes follow suit. "Which I'm sure these two will understand that same bond someday as well."

Amela: "Shujaa, Are these your new sisters?"

Shujaa gives a proud nod as he looks fondly at the Asiatic/Snow Lioness Hybrid as she gushes herself all over how cute his little sisters where.

That's when Sawa and Shujaa began to share some words amongst themselves while Shani went over to chat with the little ones.

Jua: "Who is she?"

Mkali: "Why is she so furry and she also smells musty?"

This earned an embarrassed look from Shani as she looks embarrassingly over at Amela while her younger sister chuckles lightly.

Jua: "Oh! I think I know who you are now?"

Amela looks at the pale lioness cub with the heterochromia eyes smiling her best friendly smile she could muster.

Amela: "Oh you do, do you? Who am I then."

In the loudst and proudest voice the little lion cub could muster what she said left all four of them in stunned silence.

Jua: "You're Amela you are the daughter of the crazy lion my daddy keeps telling me and my sister about. Where you were kicked out because my daddy and your mommy blamed you for things that where your fault. Is that true?"

Amela: "Um...?"

Amela slowly turned to face Shani as she turns her crimson eyes on her dark magenta eyes which were wide. Shani gives a nervous grin as well as a chuckle before her face went back to a frown.

Shani: "That's not cool, Jua. You should never assume things just because Daddy tells you a story doesn't mean you can call animals out like that."

Jua: "But I was just--"

Sawa: "Shani is right, Jua. That's not a nice thing to say. Now say you're sorry to Amela."

Jua who looks ashamed lof what she just said now looks down with guilt at her paws as she slowly looks up at the hybrid teen.

Jua: "I-I'm sorry, Amela... Do you forgive me?"

Amela gave the youngster a light smirk as she ruffled her tuft on fuzz on her head.

Amela: "Of course I do little one. Tell you what I'll tell you both some of my own stories from the Pride Lands that should boost your enthusiasm until your bedtime."

Jua & Mkali: "YAY!!!"

The girls began to climb up on Amela's back as the two cubs pounced, played, and bit down on her ears as Sawa turned back to Shujaa.

Shujaa: "It looks like things are taken care of on your end I'll leave you all to it then. Maua is probably wondering where I went at this point."

Sawa: "Go to her, Shujaa, I'll make sure to get the cubs back home safely."

Shujaa smiles and nuzzles the golden leader of the Jr. Night Pride as he begins to take his leave.

Shujaa: "I'll be back home later. Tell Uzani I'll see her as soon as I get back!"

Sawa: "I will, Shujaa! See you later."

With that Shujaa tracks back the way he came and back to his flower plucking for his sweetheart Maua while the girls headed back to the tree with the youngest members of their family.
