Yes, I think I got A LITTLE involved with HTTYD2^^ So, after Hiccup and Toothless, now is the turn of my second favorite couple: Hiccup and Astrid. I liked them also in the first movie, but now even more! So, hope you like it and, as always, leave a comment if you want^^Stuff I used: pencils from 3H to 6B, kneaded eraser, tortillions, tissues for blending.

This is my first critique so I don't know if it will be helpful or not.
First off, i'm amazed that this is done by pencil and i'm in awe with that. I love the amount of detail you put in this picture, the graininess on Hiccup's shoulderpad, each individual hair strand in Astrid's hair, the shading is perfect, what I really love is Hiccup's tiny braids and how you outlined them so well that you could easily notice where there are. A small thing I noticed was the small indent under Astrid's left eye and that amazes me since that detail can be easily overlooked. Another thing is how close you made it look to the original and that's awesome since I'm fighting to make my drawings as close as I can to the original style of the movie.
Now on the other hand, i'm a bit bothered by their eyes. Astrid's left eye seems to be too high or her right eye seems to be too low. Covering up the right side of her face makes her look like she's staring off into space so it must be her right eye that's causing me trouble. Hiccup's visible eye also seems to be a bit dwarfed compared to hers, it's like he has a little too much cheek.
I wouldn't have noticed that unless I stopped and really scrutinized it.

this is fair.... but seems to me like a 3D painting, it aint easy to draw simmular height on all of it but it is a pice of masterwork annyway.
