SG is a little 'adjusted' to cater to a buddies preference

I've been meaning to say, but isn't (in some continuities at least) Power Girl essentially an alternate reality older vesrion of Supergirl anyway?
(Admittedly I'm not up on recent DC)
So in a sense won't she eventually develop a similar body to Powergirl with the passage of time? So it could be argued that this is her just a little further down the line! I sure ain't complaining then at this fun glimpse of things to come!
