Description This is a painting I did for my Grandfather for Father's Day. I really love how it came out. I put silver on its scales and limited my pallet to purples and blues with complementary yellows and oranges, as well as that lovely sunset pink you see scattered in there to soften the contrast between the cold colors and warm colors. I used a green-blue for the water, allowing it to saturate and blotch around the coy fish. additionally, I splattered several different colors that were used throughout the painting to give the effect of movement and bubbles. Also, the S shape of the seaweed directs your attention to the coy. There you have it, my little analysis on this watercolor painting of mine.
