Jodie | Bernese Mountain Dog | 4 years old | July 2015Nikon D7000 | 200mm | f 2.8
Another picture of my beautiful lady. In Germany, there are about 30 degrees these days - not the best time for a bernese mountain dog. Too much sun, too much fur (although she lost half of it within the last weeks), but nevertheless there is no chance to bring her into the water to swim. We tried it several times, but Jodie is too much princess to get wet
Anyway, Jodie's getting along very good with the weather. Most time of the day she's doing, what I really liked to do, too: She's napping. On this note: Have a nice weekend! This is not a stock-photo!

I think the lighting could be a little stronger to show the black colour of the dog and to bring out it's eyes more. The technique is a little basic, I think you could've shot it from a different angle that would bring out the smile a little more. If there were wind it would be better, but that's not exactly predictable. The background suits the Bernese Mountain Dog's playfulness and highlights the way they are always smiling.
There were minor problems but good job on getting the dog to sit in front of the camera! Overall a really good job.

Das Bild mag ich total gerne und zusammen mit dem Titel bringt das Bild richtig gute Laune. Der sanfte Helle Hintergrund passt sehr gut zum Berner und kontrastiert zum schwarzen Fell. Jodie hat wirklich ein sehr liebes und hübsches Gesicht und sieht einfach zum Knuddeln aus. Das Problem mit dem viel zu dicken Fell im heißen Sommer kenne ich sehr gut, weil ich eine Collie-Sennenhundmischlingshündin habe. Sie besitzt auch sehr dickes Fell und leidet sehr im Sommer bei hohen Temperaturen. Glücklicherweise ist sie ein Wasserfan und rennt gerne in jeden Teich und See rein.
