Description
A highly unusual ground attack aerospacecraft designed by the EndoGen corporation for its private security forces, the A/B-39 Falcon is a combination of ground attack aerospacecraft, tactical bomber, and strategic bomber rolled into one massive package. Using quad vector-thrust fusion engines and a surprisingly maneuverable design, the A/B-39 Falcon possesses unrivaled speed and maneuvering capability for a plane of its class. During the XRF insurrection, many of the more combat/security focused AIs made it a high priority to acquire these impressive machines for use against their former masters. Having claimed the design as their own, the A/B-39 Falcon still sees considerable service within the XRF OverNetwork's military, albeit in a heavily upgraded state.

Both the original version as well as the XRF version of the Falcon make use of a large modular internal space on the aircraft, allowing the Falcon's central mission bay to be equipped with a large variety of mission-specific equipment, such as rotary ordnance bays, expanded internal fuel tanks, electronic warfare suites, reconnaissance equipment, and more. The removal of the original systems meant for keeping organic pilots alive and subsequent replacement with the computer hardware needed to support a sapient XRF AI also opened the Falcon for further modification. Its original fixed UV Pulse Lasers have been replaced by FEL Pulse/Beam Lasers with turreted lenses, with removable mountings for the FEL lasers allowing for said weapons to be potentially switched out for other weapons depending on mission requirements. The large tail unit, previously only used to house a defensive EWAR suite, can now be reconfigured to serve as additional storage space for ordnance, a requirement for these aerospacecraft to be able to use XRF's "Grand Slam" bombs. The XRF version of the Falcon also possesses several wing-mount hardpoints, allowing the Falcon to use large weapons such as 105mm railgun pods, twin 30mm rotary cannon pods, extra bombs/missiles, or rapid-launch/recovery parasite drone fighters.

Already a formidable aerospacecraft during its former service with EndoGen, the upgraded version used by the XRF OverNetwork is widely considered to be one of the most formidable air to ground systems ever built throughout the Multiverse, with even R-FORCE's advanced ground attack aerospacecraft being somewhat inferior in comparison.

A somewhat original design I came up with for a NationStates nation I did some time ago, now wholly ported into Multiverse Warfare as a good guy aerospacecraft. Originally made in Kerbal Space Program with the help of Kyeon's Orbit Portal Technology and Bac9's B9 Aerospace mods.
