Description
This is a massive illustration I did for our JRPG game in development, Harmonia. www.facebook.com/harmoniarpgIt's 80 inches tall and was made into a banner stand for our upcoming convention appearances
. Yikes, the file got so huge, Photoshop was refusing to save it near the end saying the file was too big. That nearly gave me a heart attack since I've never encountered that problem before lol. News to me that Photoshop had a 2GB file size limit
; There's ways around it though. The Harmonia game features both classic JRPG elements with new twists. This includes fully hand-animated battle characters and monsters. I've done all the character animations myself, and most of the monster designs and animations as well. It became a really ambitious project, but I think it'll be worth it for everyone to really enjoy.
This was done purely in Photoshop (drawn & colored). I'll go into detail on how I apply shadows (tones) in the artwork, which is applicable with any painting style, not just cel. To recieve this tutorial, become a supporter on my Patreon and get a lot more stuff, too

Thanks, Adam! Yeah, the animation style seems to be my specialty since I've done it for so long. I'd love to spend some study time on painting with an emphasis on composition and lighting.
