What a dude! Love that the color scheme is all warm and fuzzy, and I really love his night out outfit as well, got a sort of 'hiding in the shadows ninja' type of vibe which I can totally dig.

Gold has got style - love the reoccurring black and red theme. ^^ Not only does it match his hair, it gives him a particular sense of flair, and showcases personality at first sight. ^^ He looks both sophisticated as well as rebellious.

Love the Ninja... I mean Night Out outfit
The Western Formal is a good look for him. He looks a lot more grown-up and cultured in a suit
And he certainly loves that shade of reddy-brown
I'm not sure if you've mentioned it and I missed it but how bad is his eyesight without his glasses?
Has he ever considered contact lenses?

A couple of people have called that a “ninja” outfit now and I’m really wondering why? I’ve yet to see a ninja wear a hoodie and trainers. Do you just have to cover your face to be a ninja now? XP
Thank you! Yeah it’s his signature colour.
Naturally his eyesight’s pretty bad, he’s never considered lenses though. Technically he doesn’t need any aid, he could just shift healthy eyes or falcon eyes, which are way better than human ones anyway. But he’s used to the glasses, they’re part of his identity, and he feels weird without them. I mean he’s had the same frames since he was a kid. They also act as a kind of barrier between him and others because they cover a good portion of his face.

I think it has to do with the western image of a ninja; a shadowy figure clothed in loose black clothing with black hood and facemask with soft shoes for noiseless movement. (Orange Jumpsuits weren't a thing until recently )
So a black hoodie and trainers aren't really a stretch lol (though probably not as bright as Gold's).
Ninjas were originally Japanese peasants who ran away from their Samurai masters. They used stealth and assassination techniques because they couldn't match the training and fighting skills of the Samurai, and the well-known ninja weapons were actually mostly modified farm tools.
It's in every outfit and his cat form, I sort of guessed LOL
I like that idea, it also plays into what we mentioned earlier about his vanity about his original looks. As a shapeshifter, I would imagine a strong sense of personal identity would be very important so you don't lose yourself in all your guises and forms. That's an interesting angle I hadn't ever really considered before.
Does he feel the need for that kind of barrier because he is a shifter or because of his personality, I wonder?

Clothing continuity in character design is excellent for visual storytelling! Avatar the Last Airbender is one of the best examples of this. Oh, he's an anti-hero, huh? That sounds like fun. What is it about him that makes you think he's more of an anti-hero than a hero?

Yeah, I do like a good balance between realism and simplification for sake of storytelling though! As for why's he an anti-hero? Uh.. he has zero "heroic" traits and isn't a good person XD I wouldn't call him bad either but he's a little twisted to say the least. I did a vignette following his thoughts if you wanna understand what I mean a bit more:

Honestly, I like characters that are a little twisted. The are more relatable 'cause, well, humans are twisted.
