Description
Dannemare is a small village in rural Denmark. Just around the corner is Gloslunde, where the church is the predominant building. Mediaval church like most of our village churches. In this part of Denmark, village churches have these wooden bell towers. Wendic pirates from present day northern Germany plundered the church bells, as they were almost exclusively made from bronze. So, to at least save the church from being partially demolished each time the bell was robbed, rudimentary bell towers from wood were build.
