STORY
"Standing in the rain all day isn't my idea of a good vacation," Allyn Kruzer, the gate observer, was grumbling as Kiriana aproached the gate. "Even if I have see a lot of strong pokemon."

"Are you the Gate Observer I show the Leaf Token to?" asked Kiriana rumaging through her travel bag for the Leaf Token.

"Don't know," Allyn shrugged, dodging eye contact. "Are you the Gate Observer?"

Kiriana hesitated. "Um... no."

A smile formed on Allyn's face. "Then it must be me!" she said with a joyous laugh that echoed in the relative silence of the forest.

Kiriana forced a smile, a little unsure of the girl who was the Gate Observer.

"Give it! Give it!" Allyn said swiping the Leaf Token from Kiriana's hands. "The door's all yours. Have getting your butt kicked by my cousin."

With her pokemon at her side, and keys in her hand, Kiriana approached the door they had worked so hard to be able to unlock. And deep down, she knew Allyn was probably right: the true battle was about to begin.
