Profession: Advisor to Queen Thorn, Artist, Scientist

Bio: In the Sandwing tribe, there is a rarity that occurs every few thousand years or so, rarer even then Animus magic, where instead of the "normal" Sandwing colors, a "Painted Desert" Sandwing is born in rich red, orange, yellow, black and/or white hues with unique patterns. These dragons are held in high regard as the most artistic, colorful and intelligent dragons and their presence will bless a generation with their talents. Mesa was born such a dragon to family of date farmers. He and his family were immediately moved to the palace complex, where he was trained from little up to become an advisor to Queen Thorn. He was given the finest education and he excels in art and science. Mesa tries not to let the attention and admiration get to his head and he loves exploring the desert coastline with his best friend Caracal, even if his tutor and steward doesn't like him out of his sight and in harm's way. He and Caracal always find interesting animals, plants and rocks to study and Mesa takes his sketches back to inspire his painting.
