ok so there’s a pattern in Konoha wherein the Hokages are all related by blood, training, or both, and well, Sakura, my girl,, is the protege of the Hokage and basically a Senju in all but name i mean cmon

(SPOILERS GO READ THE SERIES AND CRY FIRST) after the end, sakura takes a while to get over her trauma

but then she decides to let it go, to truly accept indifference and give herself peace

she realises that after shizune’s death, she’s a) the hokage’s closest confidante and b) (as mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES in the manga) on her way to surpassing Tsunade’s skill and strength

shes THIS CLOSE to being stronger than the actula Hokage

so Tsunade, being the only damn reasonable ninja in the whole universe God Bless Her, is like, “well,,, I’m over 50,, i need a fucken successor who is steadfast and loyal and mostly mentally stable”

and Sakura becomes the 6th

she’s known for her precise politics, empathy and willingness to 100% Get Down with any enemy

also listen, i love sasuke and naruto, my babs, but I connect with Sakura’s abandonment issues and honestly im always angry that she’s sidelined SO Sakura, my girl, is not only a great Hokage, she’s one of the most powerful and respected shinobi in all the nations

She ushers in an era of peace after the Akatsuki disaster, making not only her village but her country stronger

She’s a quiet girl from an unremarkable family, so nobody has any fucking clue about the tricks up her sleeves

The council has no sway with her because she’s got no background of clan politics to be swayed by

And you know she’s gonna go refine the childcare and services in konoha because god Forbid something like Naruto and Sasuke ever happens to any other Leaf shinobi
