uhm...
okay, i'm not going to say "ooh im so right and your so wrong and omg" and crap like that, but i'll tell you one of the reasons i write things like that;
i think that bakura wouldn't exactly understand 'love', therefor, he would end up abusing ryou because he didn't know what else to do. and ryou, being the most innocent and forgiving thing i can think of, would still forgive him, even through the pain, because he truly does love him. but hey, *shrugs* that's just my opinion.

I mean, I'd be fine with that, but Bakura would have to EARN Ryou's trust back, instead of just being handed it on a silver platter. I mean, if it's so easy for him to forgive Bakura, what's to stop him doing it again?
Anyway, I kind of think if Bakura was going to be abusive he'd be emotionally abusive. Phsical abuse just seems a bit... crude for him. Or he'd at least think of something more creative than just HIT KICK PUNCH

I know its rather stupid of Ryou, but I think (in my stories at least) he still fears bakura and on many occasions starts crying from fear when they're together. So I guess bakura kinda has to earn his trust in a way.
I don't like the stories that make him only use fists and feet. I much prefer knives, or leather belts.

There's a pretty good one kinda like this, but it's not the next day. Bakura does abuse Ryou, but he does it because he confuses his love for hate, (completely). That lasts for a good few chapters, then he pretends to love Ryou back, but then go back to abusing Ryou, (along with raping him. Not my favorite part), but then he has a very, (and I mean very), erotic dream about Ryou...You should just read it. It's called "Control" (and yes there is a sequel called "Control II", which gets very, very bad).
