Thanks.  These 2 look great especially Masahiro.  One question, what kind of color did you use for his hair and shirt?  I can’t tell what they are for the life of me.

Osamu is one of the three-eyed men, and the least popular of Zahia’s 8 generals.  He is very intelligent, but very weird and not exactly smart.  A term to describe him would be idiot savant.  He can build advanced machines, come up with brilliant plans and even use some magic but to people who know him he just seems like an idiot when he’s not working.  He likes simple things and laughs all the time.  He is very loyal though and Zahia sees his worth, which is why she keeps him.  But he is at the bottom of the brain half of the generals, and will remain there unless he can change his strange ways.

Masahiro is a mutant human, and the only other general besides Toshi with a tragic backstory.  Due to a gene disorder he started using more of his brain than other people when he hit 13.  By age 16 he was a genius, and used his intelligence to help people in his village.  Unfortunately some people were not very pleased with his help.  He was humble, but these men thought he was deliberately showing them up.  Even worse, one of these men was his father the mayor.  Every time Masahiro made his town better, he would always beat him.  Masahiro loved his father early, so he didn’t turn him in.  This continued on for a few years, until one night he overheard his father talking with a doctor friend of his about doing a lobotomy that would make him normal.  He ran away to his uncle, who was displeased with what his brother was doing.  But before they could do anything Masahiro’s father busted into his home and shot his brother then threatened to do the same to his son if he refused to obey him.  He called the sheriff, who was one of his friends who hated Masahiro.  He arrested him and kept other good people off the investigation.  He was sent to a judge who also hated him. On a side note, a lot of the officials in this town are pretty corrupt.  I guess that’s why they hated him, he messed with their plans to scam people by coming up with something genuinely better for everyone and they were afraid he might expose them someday.  Anyways, he sentenced him to the lobotomy but Masahiro used his genius to escape, and vowed revenge on everyone who had wronged him.  He was recruited by Yami, who had seen everything during her stay in this town.  She told him that if he joined her organization and helped them, then they would take over the world and ensure fairness for everyone so that injustice like this wouldn’t happen.  He quickly proved to be a very valuable member of the organization, and ended up ranking below only Yami and Toshi, as well as Zahia of course.  He is dedicated to the cause though like Kobol, he has a moral code that keeps him where he’s at in the ranking (he’s very good friends with him by the way).  Masahiro makes sure no innocent people suffer because of his actions since he went through that and believes it to be the worst thing in the world.  In his off-time he likes to go about righting wrongs he happens to uncover.  He’s saving his hometown for later, when he can take all the vacation time he’s been saving up and make sure he can properly pay back his tormentors.

These 2 have an interesting relationship.  They were once good friends, until Masahiro started getting more praise than Osamu.  It’s not like he was trying to out-do Osamu, he was just doing the best he could.  But Osamu was jealous.  Masahiro noticed this and tried to apologize, saying that he can’t help it but Osamu wouldn’t hear of it.  This created a permanent wedge in their relationship.  Osamu has even tried to sabotage Masahiro’s projects, but he’s always on guard with a back-up or contingency plan which just makes Osamu even bitterer.  It’s like Kobol and Hideki in reverse, they start out friends then rivalry gets the better of one of them and he becomes an enemy.

Osamu is my least favorite of Zahia’s generals, but I like Masahiro a lot.  I look forward to doing an episode where Kokoro visits his town and finds out his backstory from an officer of the law who knows that the investigation was a joke but can’t do anything about it.  The corrupt officials will try to set her up for something, and the only way out is to team up with Masahiro.  Together they clear their names as well as make Masahiro’s father and all his friends pay for what they’ve done to them and other victims.

Osamu reminds me of combustion man and Pei Li from the Avatar universe.
