Body
Takes after the body of a horse, with deep round rib cage and level back. Horse-like withers and semi-flexible spine.
Internally
Deer and horse-like vocalisations, three-stomach ruminant deer-like digestion and horse-like circulation and breathing. Constant grazers with a varied diet, fight or flight response to fear and threats.
Neck
Cross between horse and deer, strong crest, graceful length, with large range of mobility.
Legs
Slender and long, muscled like horses but jointed like deer. Rear hocks higher than knees.
Cloven Hooves
Like that of deer, excellent for sharp turns and agility. Dew claws present on the back of the fetlock.
Gait
The Fawnling is built for speed and agility. They can jump like deer and race like horses on the flat.
Antler
Similar to deer antler, formed of bone, shed in spring and regrown ready for autumn. Grows from one single point like a unicorn.
Face
Slim dishy face, similar to a cross between a deer and Arabian horse. Large eyes and deer-like nose and ears.
Mane
Horse-like mane that can come in a variety of lengths, thickness and distribution.
Tail
Strong mobile tail used for balance with some minor dexterity used to hold and drag light objects. Tail hair comes in a variety of arrangements and lengths.
