Description Please excuse the improper cropping, I wanted to give an insight as to the arbitrary way I managed to photograph these on a sunny summer day, but I also wanted to keep the painting's in no way rectangular shape intact.

When I paint, so much happen out of random. But I really like how the lower half looks like both fields, city horizon and a bit of ocean or sky. And there she is, overlooking it all with a blissfull blessing

This is the last of my painting course paintings, a few hours of very concentrated and expressive work as were the others.

Acrylics with spatulae, painting knives and brushes on brown paper.

Thanks!
With my use of different colours and the shear amount of paint, it's probably going to be a bit of an expensive hobby to start on your own (I was on a painting course and we just paid for a lot of different colours together which we could share. You can technically blend all the colours you need out of the basic ones, but trust me, you'll never mix them as rich and fun as pre-dyed paint, s'what I'm saying)

I don't know how to reply about you and acrylics when I aint ever seen you paint! But it was a lot easier to use them acrylics once I got over the fact that I probably shouldn't try to 'draw' and became more creative with it, if you see what I mean. Still, thanks

Yeah, I know. It's kinda funny 'cause it didn't take more than a few hours... but maybe the hand can paint quicker than the brain can actually think O_o And besides lots of strange colours entwine themselves into new shapes seemingly all by themselves.

I love seeing real media from you. Always a good thing.

Anyway, this has a real neat effect, and the colors work surprisingly well together. Pretty face.

Well I don't know anymore after your ramble what kind of comments it's okay to give, so I hesitate. But I want to mention how I like the half-abstract landscape and the more solid creature above, who would normally be interpreted as the spiritual part vs. the material landscape and would therefore be portrayed as less solid, as a kind of ghost. But this way seems more true to 'man being at the center of all things', which will always be truth to humans. It's the world that's 'the Other'. Her skin is the essence of cool and yet she's the sun, perhaps a sun goddess. In that way she represents both thoughts and feelings and her facial expression fits the impression one gets of her balance, harmony. [/rant]

I think the conclusion on the comment hating was that it's not nice to recieve comments that are either entirely criticism, however constructive it is, or comments that are entirely made up from praise, especially unspecific praise.
That was a good comment!

Those little dots on the necklace (or simply around the neck?) give volumes of texture and detail to this picture.

I looove it. :3

Can't. I don't even have any paint or other equipment myself. Will probably come in time...
