Reena Vladov is another female character from Metal Fight Beyblade. She is not only one of the most feared bladers, but also one of the most famous kickboxers. Her goals are to become the best kickboxer and fight her way to the top with her Bey (and her team).

Her friend and partner is her Bey Sabertooth, and she has a very strong and unusual relationship.

Story

There is no exact information about Reena's childhood.

But for as long as she can remember, she has lived in an orphanage in Russia. The stay there was ultimately so unbearable that she ran away and fled. From then on she lived on the streets. Her former Bey, Flame Lynx 145WB, was completely destroyed by a street gang in a fight. She then ran away and hid on a ship that took her to America. But then she was discovered by the captain of the ship and after a few days she was put back in a home. Of course she didn't stay there long and ran away again. At some point she found a ruined tomb. There she found refuge and at the same time made an incredible discovery: the Bey Dungeon Sabertooth FW 187 DL. She changed when she touched him.

At the age of 12 her journey to Japan began. Because she only had one goal: to become the best blader in the world.

In the middle of the Metal Fusion season it is shown that she finds a relative of hers, her grandfather, who owns a martial arts gym and was a professional kickboxer. From that day on she will be trained by him as a kickboxer.
Personality:

Reena is extremely tenacious, tough, values honor and discipline and is skilled. She prefers going it alone rather than teamwork. She finds it difficult to make new friends and build trust.
Nevertheless, she is a very serious blader because sometimes she no longer has herself under control. And her ambition should not be underestimated, which can be seen in fights against Ryuga. She tries again and again and she promised herself that she wouldn't give up until she defeated him (which Reena never achieved).

She gives people like Gingka a feeling of aloofness.

By having to lead her team from Metal Masters onwards, she proves her resilience, loyalty and she learns what it's like to work in a team.
Through Helios, her future boyfriend, she learns about other feelings, such as love.

Since she doesn't like jokes and rarely laughs, Masamune Kadoya calls her a "party plopper".

Reena's soft side can be seen in Metal Fury when she protects a little girl, who she later adopts as her little sister.

Through her Grandpa's kickboxing training, she implements many techniques in combat. For example, she uses targeted blows on the attacker in order to knock him out straight away, or she doesn't let him attack at all, but attacks immediately and violently in order to knock him out immediately.

The relationship between her and Sabertooth is an unusually strong one. The two trust each other blindly and she even talks to Sabertooth in her mind. She also feels like her Bey. As he gets stronger, she also shows great reprieve of strength. If Sabertooth has to endure violent attacks, Reena isn't doing so well either. Her Bey is - besides Blair - her closest confidant and her absolute best friend.

Metal Fusion

When she arrives in Japan, she meets Doji, who saw her fighting the Face Hunters and now wants her to join the Dark Nebula. At first Reena refuses, but Doji makes her an offer:
If he defeats Reena in a beyfight, she would join the organization. However, if he loses, the decision is hers.
Reena is skeptical at first, but agrees. At first it seemed as if Doji would win, but Reena escaped to a draw. Somewhat hesitantly, she agrees to become a member of the Dark Nebula, but only on the condition that she is only allowed to fight with Dungeon Sabertooth, which Doji allows. After she became a member, she was given the task of searching for and recruiting new, suitable bladers for the organization.
During this search she meets her pursuer, who calls himself the “master hunter”. His real name is Soo – Ri Sanyangkkun. An argument breaks out between the two, with Soo-Ri triggering a trap in the middle of a path and an explosion occurs in which both suffer serious injuries. Before that, he reported why he is after Reena. This persecution is based on an ancient legend:

A girl several thousand years ago found a Bey and received the same power that Reena now had. However, the girl could not control this power and became an unpredictable warrior and was under the control of the goddess Morena. She destroyed everything in her path and became Hades' right-hand woman to boot. They called her Nebula. Sabertooth was the follower of Nemesis, the god of destruction. However, when it was locked away by Zeus' barrier, she and Morena disappeared and never appeared again. Her Bey was locked in the basement of an old, abandoned castle, which was reduced to rubble during a war, leaving only ruins under which Sabertooth slept. No one ventured into this area because this Bey was simply too powerful and no one could control this incredible power.

Except for Reena; When she found and touched Sabertooth, she changed, but she mostly controlled him. It was as if fate had brought them together.

The man continued, explaining that he was a hunter looking for rare creatures and ancient artifacts. When he finally came across the legend of Bey Sabertooth, he immediately set out to search for the ruins. He found the place, but the ruins were completely destroyed; the bey was gone. Dungeon Sabertooth has a tremendous fighting spirit and throws out waves to seek out strong opponents (which is why Reena ended up in Japan). So the master hunter followed Sabertooth's signal waves and finally found what he was looking for. After the tragic accident in which Reena almost lost her sight and suffered painful burns, Reena and Sabertooth went underground until they met Gingka, Madoka and Kenta.
Gingka challenges her to a fight, which she accepts. During the fight, Gingka tries to talk to Reena, but she just blocks her. When Gingka's questions become too much for Reena, she takes her Bey out of the fight and disappears.

Next, Doji gives her the task of finding and recruiting a young blader named Kyoya Tategami. Reena doesn't find it difficult to find him and so she offers him a place in the Dark Nebula organization. Kyoya rejects the offer, which leads to an argument between the two, with Reena skillfully provoking him. The argument ends in a fight. As Sabertooth and Leone clash, Reena continues to try to convince Kyoya, but he remains stubborn. As the bey fight comes to an end, Reena breaks off and takes her bey out of the arena. Kyoya doesn't understand and asks her what that's about. Reena makes it clear to him that in her eyes he is not a worthy opponent and that she doesn't want to waste Sabertooth's powers anymore.
Reena then simply leaves him and disappears. After watching Kyoya's defeat against Gingka, she reported it to Doji and suggested that he recruit Kyoya, even though he had previously made it clear to her that he did not want to. After he becomes a member of the organization, the two begin to become friends. When Kyoya drops out after the fight against Doij due to serious injuries, Reena becomes skeptical because she didn't notice anything. When she meets Ryuga and suffers a devastating defeat against him, she ends her collaboration with the Dark Nebula. She then spends several days in the hospital until she disappears without a trace.

When she finds her Grandpa again - in the middle of the season - she asks for information about her parents and her previous life. But he can't give her an answer. Finally, he agrees to take care of her from now on and train her to be a professional kickboxer.

Metal Masters

In Metal Masters, she first travels to Italy because she senses through Sabertooth that a strong opponent is waiting for her there. And fact: after a few days she meets Blair. The two immediately begin a fierce fight against each other. Since Blair isn't very skilled at beyblading, Reena has a very easy time against her and wins the fight. Blair is more than impressed by Reena and quickly realizes that there is a lot to learn from her. So she keeps annoying Reena until she agrees that Blair can go with her.Together they embark on a journey to find other strong bladers.
First they meet Brianna, Kyoya's cousin. She challenged Reena to a fight because she had heard that Reena was said to be a very strong blader. Reena accepts the fight and finally wins. Insulted, Brianna wants to leave, but Reena offers her to join her team, the "Legendary Soldiers". Brianna agrees, but asks that Reena take her to her cousin.
The three of them continue their journey. In India they meet Ariana, who becomes another member of the team. At the end they meet Angelo Tamasaki, who is only interested in Reena from the first moment. He joins the team.

Once back in Japan, Reena registers her team for the World Championships. Eventually they qualified for the elimination battles, but lost to GanGan Galaxy. In the fight against Argo Garcia, Reena unleashes incredible power, but she didn't control it properly and it almost cost her the victory. Together with her team, Reena helps Gingka and Co. Dr. To stop Ziggurat and save Tobi.

In the middle of the season, she fights against Ryuga again, with both Beys digging into the ground with their special moves because the arena's underground was so unfavorable for their Beys, resulting in a draw.
