After Ardavan lost his leg defending his younger half-brother against a pack of dire jackals, he was cast out of the tribe. Resources aren't exactly plentiful and a cripple could not provide for the rest of the tribe. To his people, Ardavan was a dead man. He found himself among beggars and those unfit for even slavery at the edge of his old homeland, cut off from everything he knew. Poor Ali suffered just as much. As the only other son of the sheikh he became the heir to his father's legacy. All the sudden, his mother was the favored wife which...didn't sit well with Ardavan's mother who had held the position after having birthed the first son. In a fit of jealousy, the woman murdered Ali Baba's wife and made an attempt on Ali's life. The plan was foiled by one of Ardavan's wives who spared her new prince in hopes that he would claim the child she carried as his own, least he be cast as a second-class citizen. Ali agreed, begrudgingly. Months later, the sheikh fell, leaving Ali in a position that he had no desire to take on and no insight as to how to go about even trying. Desperate, he sought out his older brother.

Ard put up a bit of a fight at first...but his brother needed him once again. Ali stands as the figurehead of the tribe while Ardavan advises from the shadows.

...when Ard will find out about his little son, Rahim, is anyone's guess. JERRY! JERRY!! :bricked:
