"There will be no more parades, Christopher"Christopher Tietjens from Parade's End. Because I hadn't done a Parade's End piece yet and it's so beautifully shot. Also because of the ridiculous amount of layers he is wearing.
And it seemed quite fitting this time of year
Mainly an exercise to see how much patience I have

The sense of gravity you have given this is striking, it's wonderful.

I just started a group for Parade's End, to collect and encourage artwork inspired by it
It is a phenomenally gorgeous production, it's hard to watch it and NOT want to do a couple dozen paintings! I would be thrilled if you would consider joining the group and submitting this work!

And totally agree all the layers are adorable and make a delightful drawing. I wish I had a way to watch this, I loved the book...er well I guess it was three books in one...but whatever they were fantastic and so is this
