Description
The Ninth Doctor often acted distracted and something of a dreamer. When someone was pointing something out to her, she would nearly always look in the wrong direction, not letting on that she'd already noticed whatever it was and had now moved onto to something else. When her gaze cleared and her manner became more direct, her companions knew the situation was dangerous. Like the Seventh Doctor, she claimed that her absent-minded manner was not something she put on, but unlike the earlier incarnation, she could be seen visibly switching mode, sometimes back and forth several times. When questioned on this, she said "maybe I'm an absent minded person pretending to be sharp".
