Description
In 1917, plans to resume unrestricted submarine warfare were layed on ice in Germany. Since th US thus did not join the war, it draged out until 1920. Casualties on all sides rose to unbelievable numbers. In February 1920, riots broke out in major cities all across Europe. Unemployment rates, inflation, the high number of casualties and the missing of clear war results led to massive outrages in the United Kingdom. Sailors refused to man their positions and on February 12th 1920, the Great General Strike broke out. An outraged mob demanding an end to the war and the removal of government stormed key buildings in London and forced members of the government and the Royal House to flee. A few days later, the Supreme Council of Great Britain proclaimed the Socialist Federal Republic of Great Britain. This CoA was adopted two weeks later.
