Some would call that a lazy use of focus to avoid doing a background. But it isn't. It shows absolute exhaustion, perhaps even despondency, to the point of tunnel vision, hazy vision even. I've only been that tired after hoeing a hundred mesquite trees in an hour, and it felt like that right there.
