I discovered DyE Fantasy from one of those "Youtubers React" videos. Since then, it's struck me that, seemingly everywhere this video gets brought up, people try to find meaning and messages in the song. All I saw was an animator who wanted to tell a story and really liked H.P. Lovecraft.
Falling through the pool into an underwater city tells a different, and entirely enjoyable, tale. It makes me think of Bioshock + magic.

Yeah I saw that too, I didn't feel they did the video justice on the idea of falling out of the world - I think the point of the video is surely about that, assuming there is a point intended. Thanks for the comment anyway c:

I saw that video and the message behind it was something pretty deep. I just have to remember it now.
But the concept was disturbing, so I have to agree.
Now with your pic I think you incorporated it very nicely.
I love the concept and the colors.
Very nice overall.
Thank you for sharing this!

I wish more people would because it would allow the artist an insight on what people are thinking.
Besides, the thought of a city under water is appealing and alluring.
It makes you think about what really happened.
A flood? A hurricane? The polar ice caps melting??
Who knows.

Well, the video game "Bioshock" and "Bioshock 2" are based in an underwater city. That was the main inspiration for the city, as otherwise the background looked a little empty.
I'm not usually this Philosophical but the image of the girl really resonates within me as a symbol of separation from everything that could distract us, allowing true focus and clarity. The music of the video just adds to the effect. Very few things stir me like that, and no others come to mind right now.
Thank you again for your comments! ^^

Thanks, it was only part way through making it I realised it was similar to Rapture from Bioshock, and I guess that kind of fits.
