The same acid etching process can be used to form glass etching which is covered with wax or some sticky substance to preserve the natural cover of the glass.The glass is similarly dipped into hydrofluoric acid bath to make the etched image visible, this process is very dangerous and so a craft fanatic must choose a safer etching cream for home project.[link]

Yes, there are several commercially available products for glass etching. I've used several and they work very well. I wouldn't say it was very dangerous tho, just be mindful you are using acid and be careful, it's as easy as that.

Me too, I'm trying to get a complete setup for doing electric etching, then you just use salt water. I'll post links to a tutorial when i remember where I found it.

it's pretty easy to do, do the artwork that you want and look up a vender that does chem cuting...there are lots of these

oh i've worked in worse, for 6 months my shop was the back of my truck that I was sleeping in when I first moved to LA... If I could do it you sure can with running water hehe

You can etch on any thickness, but to cut, I think .06 inches is a good thickness
