So, here we are, it's Monday and I got this page done rather quickly, so I really wanted to post it, before I overdo it with all the screentones. *coughs* Noooo I din't already do that... noooo noooo.... xD
Well, let's introduce Shiro on second page. You might wonder why a demon has glasses? xD Well, I can't draw a proper Shiro without glasses... he always looks kinda strange without them, so I really really needed them, although demons don't need glasses. Well, let's say, he wants to look pretty cool or something...? x'D Had to alter that cross on his spectacle cords though... a demon wearing a normal cross would be weird, right? Well, it had to be the upside-down cross instead which is popular among Satanic cults... xP
His coat is somewhat inspired by Beethoven's coat and his ragged sleeves, which appeared in the fanfiction to be part of the coat turned out to be more easily o be drawn if it htey had 2/3 arms-length while wearing a shirt underneath... =^_^= Shiro also wears a scarf... but that's something you can't yet see. xD Hmmm... need to draw some designs probably sooner or later.
Uhhhh... yes... and I can't draw a grand piano if my life depended on it it seems... sorry. Bear with it. QQ

It's so vivid, and I laugh so hard when I see it! xDDD I totally love Shiro's demon version, holy crap, what a wonderful jerk he makes. x9 And the modified crosses got me cracking up even more - brilliant detail! I hadn't even thought of that. >w<
"Hi kiddo!" - when I run this whole scene in my head, with Shiro just walking in like he owns the place and rolling himself a "cigarette", it's clear that "Hi kiddo!" is the icing on the cake. x9 It somehow just distills the very essence of his blunt, self-confident prankster-nature. And holding the "cigarette" like a lady? Really, Shiro? Mocking Mephisto already, are you? xD
Gotta say, the Beethoven jacket locks lovely on him - and the glasses are so cute on Mephisto! Really looks good in everything, that one... Extra fun with the jacket; I don't know if you caught that, but "Beethoven's tenth" is a work that was never completed. It's used as a plot device by Trans-Siberian Orchestra in their rock opera "Beethoven's Last Night", where Mephistopheles tries to buy that specific symphony. ...and Shiro seems to have bought his coat? xP Perfect garment for sticking one's tail out, though... wonder if one would ever catch Mephisto doing that in private? Γ΄.o
I love this so much. x3 *gently bites hold of escaping soul, since arms and hands are still occupied squeezing Q* Too bad Mephisto doesn't know how to put a soul back into the body. Γ΄_Γ²' Wonder if I can store you in a bottle or lamp...

gahhh... I re-read the texts about a hundred times and still there are mistakes in there... dammit. I'll correct that. xD

Now I'm much more calmer to proceed, knowing you like their character designs... I gave it much of a thought, be assured. QQ *just the best for the best muse I ever had* Yeah, you're my muse now... you get me inspired about everything regarding Ao-x, you damn she-devil. xD
Uhhh... yes, I kinda mix a bit of cartoonish flair into my manga-based doujins... it's just the best way for me to get a grasp around emotions. Loads of funny expressions ahead, but still always peppered with a lingering despair and agony around poor Mephisto von Hohenzollern~ xP
Yeah, I really like Shiro's design... from the slit in the back of his coat to his cross on the cords, I just had it all planned carefully. He'd be the kind of demon who lets his tail shamelessly exposed so we get to see all of it. xD *will never admit it's just due to her abnormal tail-fetish* Oh and yes, I knew I had to fill in some lines, so that I don't just present a doujin with unfilled bubbles and thoughts. So I thought about it quite a while what kind of thing a demon like Shiro would say, once he enters the room... I could've clung to your original work and drew a long (probably two pages filling) scene to capture the exact way how Shiro enters the room and fills it with his presence... yet, it seemed a bit too much. Perfect in fanfiction, so hard to translate within a doujinshi... but "Hi kiddo!" gave me the opportunity to draw just this short flashback and make him appear like the cocky little ass, we still are about to get to know. xD
Oh yes, Shiro loves mocking once the strings are in his hands... he really enjoys it too much. x'D
Glasses-fetish is something else I never could quite understand about myself... seriously if it were for me every human would have to wear glasses... especially the pretty/handsome ones... it's like you add kinda intelligent appearance to their beauty. xD So yes, I love Mephi with glasses on, but he only needs them for reading. |D
Mephisto's tail... I still wonder about this, as much as I wonder how ugly he'll turn out to be when he ever needs to make use of his heart... though I doubt we'll ever get to see that. x')
Oh, I didn't know that... so that's the conection to Beethoven's tenth symphony and Mephisto... great, you are a master of your art. This adds so much hints to this specific scene. I guess, Mephisto won't be able to get his hands on said symphony?

You have quite successfully discouraged me from completing that douji I was doodling on, since it's gonna look like something a little kid made compared to yours... x') But errrrgh... I like the cartoonish flair! Reminds me of good ol' Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump. =9 It's what I have in mind when I write, actually, but with only text to work with it's not like that will ever show - until you come around and read my mind.
Just like the Hohenzollern emblem, you did the right thing in adapting away the long entrance scene and just make this: short, concise and spot-on. One reason I rarely ever draw my stories: I'm so bad at making that adaptation. @_@ But here he is, the cocky little ass, and I pity Mephisto... (Scarf, you say? Is it the one from the manga flashbacks?)
Mephisto in reading glasses is aaaaalmooooost canon, isn't it? *wishes so badly for this to be the case* I recall there's this one frame where he wears a pair, in the "Mad Ravings of Mephisto" monologue: and they're round, like Shiro's... QuQ (How much of a desperate fangirl are you, when you read a connection into something like that?)
I wonder... it would take something extraordinary for Mephisto to go all-out and bring out his heart. I really wonder what he would look like. Γ΄.o With Amaimon you could see clear traces of his affinity with earth and earth demons, but Time...? We've only seen the ghost train as "kin of Samael", and I really don't think Mephisto will bear any resemblance to a train... xD (It totally cracks me up to imagine it, though!)

Because my plans are usually rather... Mephisto-invented and just whispered to my ear? Well, it mostly is his idea... but I have to say that his idea is great and that it will be awesome... at least the process of making it. xP And I hope you'll like it once it's done.
