Description I was talking to Lazarus12 and he asked if I knew how to make trees in Apo ... well I don't really (so if you do or know a tut. leave link in the comments that would be cool. ^^)
But ... I did try to make a tree, yet I only managed a branch ... looks like cedar to me. Cedars are awesome ... all tree are awesome, lol. I love trees ...

Made with Apo 7 x Final

I was listening to this song for inspiration: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmzIla…

words (to the best of my ability )--- enjoy!

In the grass
All around the real kingdom
In the ground
(The heart of) bi-urban rending
In the sky
Mystery of summer and storm
In the wild
Our days, our days, our days, days
Evergreen around
Everlasting land
Evergreen of life
Evergreen around
Never let it down
Evergreen of life
Evergreen of life

Take a breath
Look at the air over your head
Take your time
Seasons always come every year
Take apart
Reason could be helpful and fair
Take along
Our days, our days, our days, our days x

Evergreen around
Everlasting land
Evergreen of life
Evergreen around
Never let it down

Evergreen of life
Evergreen of life

Evergreen around
Everlasting land
Evergreen of life
Evergreen around
Never let it down
Evergreen of life
Evergreen of life

This is so good I forget its a fractal!! I've seen a lot of plants that seem to conform (roughly! nature is not that fussy about 'precise'!! ) to this scheme, from mosses to junipers

Thank you so much. I love nature for that easy-going way, makes it so interesting and there is always something to discover that's slightly different, always fresh.

'Fresh' is good, it keeps the mind working, inquiring!!
If everything was the same, the world would be a pretty boring place!

Marvy attempt! And you got it spot-on...

Great form, texture, and crisp detail with a gradient to match...

Absolutely fantastic

I must say this is the best attempt I've seen at making a tree, or any sort of vegetation, on Apophysis. It's wonderfully complex and the gradient you've chosen gives it an almost lifelike quality. I honestly thought it was a photograph at first! There are some slight echos in the background but they sort of add to the overall effect of looking at a tree. My only suggestion would be to change the background color to light blue or something , although it is fantastic at it is!

Instant fav!

Very realistic quality to this work, the song is a nice touch as well, nice and relaxing, somewhat somber. It does add to the piece nicely.

Is cedar the same as juniper? I can't remember.

In the case of the Red Cedar ... it is actually juniper, lol. I agree very confusing.

Thanks for the links. My grandparents bought 31 acres in the hill country of Texas just south of the Dallas/Fortworth metroplex when I was a child. Cedar (juniper) trees were in mass abundance. I did learn that the male tree carries the seeds. They always had a small cutting from the tree for a Christmas tree every year. I still remember their pungent smell.
