Well, in that case, I have news for you. Your kitty is very unlikely to be a Moggy. She is a Ragdoll, you lucky, lucky thing!
Most breeders are snobs and demand to see bits of paper showing pedigree, but her looks, the blue eyes, and her nature, especially going limp when you hold her is the main feature of a Ragdoll, so there you go, you have a breed for your kitty! She isn't a Moggy no more. (although snobby breeder types will sniff and demand a bit of paper!)

Hey, you ramble away if you like! It's not a problem for me, I ramble a lot too
I'm not a big fan of breeders. I prefer natural breeds, my Norwegian Forest cat is one that was found naturally occuring in the forests of Norway, humans didnt "breed" it to look and behave the way it is.
Sadly, once the breed is here, you get breeders who want things to be "perfect" and when its not, they just discard the poor things. Breeding bad traits into animals thankfully is being banned in many countries, not fast enough for me mind you. Look at the poor Persians, lovely kitties, but in the wild would struggle to survive as they can't even groom themselves.
I think you are wonderful for adopting unwated animals and giving them the love and kindness they need
If there were more like you, there would be less dumped pets out there, struggling to survive in the cold winter and wondering what they did to deserve that after being faithful to their owners.

There are a few of Sam, his full name is Usaym which means Lion Cub in Arabic. In the winter he grows this fantastic long mane that makes him look just like a tiny lion.
He is a lovely cat, he was dumped by a breeder because he was not "perfect" in her eyes. He was kept locked in a pen with the breeding stud male who bullied him, the pen was just about big enough for them both to stand up in. When he came to me, he had never actually been out of the pen except to be abused with kicks and punches.
The first time he was in a room, he was terrified, it was too big, so he went and hid in the smallest place he could find and was shaking in fright. Its taken me a long time for him to trust people again, the most moving day was when he came and lay next to me of his own choice and let me cuddle him. For a cat that was punched and kicked it took bravery on his part to ever trust a human again. He is still very scared by feet, even mine, but that's ok, I know he will never totally loose that terror of people.
Also when he came, I really thought I would loose him, he was so scared he wouldn't eat or drink, he has been so traumatised. I would go and sit in the room with him and just read a book softly so he would get used to me and my voice. Two weeks went by, he would sip water when I was asleep but not eat at all. In the end I was so worried I made a bargain with him, I promised him he had a home with me for life if only he would eat, I would never give him up while I was alive, and he would always have the run of the house. 5 minutes later he came out of his hiding place, and started eating. I know it might sound crazy, but somehow I think he understood. I worry about him a lot, when I hurt my leg and went into hospital for a week, he stopped eating until I came home again, no matter what treats they gave him, he wouldn't eat, just would sit there or look around the house for me.

Thank you. I love him to bits, he is very special to me, and my kids when they come over love him to bits too. He is my big soft giant. He looks after the foster kittens when they come, although initially he gets worried and defensive, but he realises they are only temporary and he then gets on with them really well. To watch him take a wriggling kitten, pin it down with a huge paw very gently, then give it a nose to tail wash is a treat in itself. You see a soggy, angry, but very clean kitten walk off, then Sams off for the next ones. Within days, they are cuddling up to him, and using his big fluffy tail as a blanket to snuggle into and go to sleep.
I wish I had a camera at the time, I once had 3 foster kittens, and I couldn't find them anywhere, when I called for them, I saw 3 sleepy little heads poke out from under his fluffy tail. I swear Sam had a grin on his face.

I know what you mean. My cats follow me from room to room as well. It does feel good to have their interest and affection. I love China's blue eyes. Check out my photo of Isabel. She's got blue eyes too. - CLB
