I was bored and procrastinating today and I thought I'd take some photos.These are the two rings I wear everyday. The one on top was my 18th birthday present from my Nan and the plan band is my girlfriends ring that I wear around my neck as it falls off my finger when I wear it.
This is probably one of my favourites from what I took, I may upload a picture of the set up I used to take the picture, it's rather amusing.
But yes, first thing I've uploaded in yonks. Enjoy.

I quite like how the second ring fades into the background - it's quote an effective way of drawing the eye and it does something else that I feel is very important, which is making the photo appear very dream-like. A short story could easily be written from this photo.
I like the gold chain too and the way it dangles out of the frame.
I don't like the background, however. Maybe you could touch it up using Photoshop or an equivalent. I don't like how it becomes soft on the right hand side. Its a bit at odds with what I was saying about the faded dreamlike quality of the rest of the picture but I feel that if you darkened that particular portion of the photograph even a little you would enhance the overall look of the piece.
Perhaps I need to clarify - The ring on top is so sharp and so crisp that it naturally forces the eye to come down and gaze upon the second ring almost melting into the golden background - why not help that along by sharpening the black background?
Other than that, a beautiful photograph that captures the sentimentality of the rings almost perfectly.

I completely agree about the background, I currently don't have anything like photoshop but I will put the effort into downloading one to fix this and future things. Either that or retake the photo, it wasn't too hard to set up.
I hadn't realised how gold I'd made it either, since both the rings and chain are silver but now you mention it I realise how gold it all is. I like it this way anyway but it's nice to have it brought to my attention.

Focus and angle is interesting, the colour however seems over edited, too fake. The ring is being lost in a sea of yellow.

Actually, this is an alright shot. The composition and depth of field is quite nice, although the front of the image is oh-so-very overexposed. If you dropped the exposure and gave the colours a little more lustre, it would be none too shabby.
