Description A scene from George RR Martin's "A Clash of Kings".

Jon Snow and Qhorin Halfland, two brothers of the Night's Watch are pursued by relentless enemies through the wilds. One night Qhorin asks Jon if he remembers the word of their vow:

"Do you remember the words of your vow?" asked Qhorin Halfhand across the flickering fire.
"Yes." They were not words a man was like to forget. Once said, they could never be unsaid. They changed your life forever.
"Say them again with me, Jon Snow."
"If you like." Their voices blended like one beneath the rising moon, while Ghost listened and the mountains themselves bore witness.
"Night gathers and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher in the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

Ihanan rento kynänjälki, sopii hyvin tämäntapaiseen työhön. Samoin vesivärit tuovat oman juttunsa myös tähän tunnelmaan. Ihanan rohkeaa viivoilla leikkimistä!

Aaaaah, yes. A goosebump scene if ever there was one. I love the mood you put this in - it's funny to see that the mood in your pic is so totally different from the mood I once did this in, but it makes perfect sense as well.

There's just something classic in the moment. It is ageless, but still stinging enough to be worthy of tears. Been a long time dream of mine to draw this, just like many other scenes from AsoIaF.

And I think that you did a better job in your time. Somehow more to the spot, fresh and unique. Of course, some would say that I am not moot to judge my own pics, famously modest as I am.

Whatever that may be, I just love your style, it flows so well - AND your Ghost looks like a wolf, as opposed to a genetically altered bear or something.

Thank you! I really value your positive comment.
Personally I think that there is too much of sketchy flow. The mood might have benefited from a heavier and more "stark" style. More attention spared to detail and composition when sketching, and only when such groundwork is done it's time to let it flow.

Ghost's head might be wolf-like enough as I used a reference, but the rest of his supposedly "lean and predatory" bulk is a product of my imagination. Believable, yes; but right, no.

I started that the other night! I love it when I got pictures to go by in my head, makes the story so much better.
