Description A lot of the hillsides are at peak color right now. In this pic you can see one that is peaked (right) and two that are not (center and left ridges)

Wonderful color even if it isn't at full peak Great cloudscape, too

I missed peak color here by a week because I was laid up at home sick...

At least I get to see it through your lens :+fa:

Yeah, the good thing about here is different areas just a few miles away will peak at different times, so I have about a month to work with.

Remember how all the pine needles fell off the Christmas tree in "It's a Charlie Brown Christmas?" That's how the fall goes around here If you're not there you ain't gonna get anything

The colors are beautiful...
What could be seen at root level ?
You know I am no Pro... but I used a paper to
block part of the sky and I "think" that the reds
and greens are losing emphasis due to the great amount of blue and white present on the sky.

It is possible that you selected that part of the photo because the lower part was ugly...

And, well, you know that I am no big frame fan, but that is very personal.

The tree colors are stunning !

I don't know, I didn't crop much out or change much at all, I just wanted everyone to see it the way I do when I look up to the ridges several times a day, and this is how it looks.

And how does it look at a lower level (meaning the base of that
mountain) ?

I am really curious !

That's a problem - here the hills are so tight and woods s thick, you can't see anything but the tree in front of you unless you look way up the hill, and sometimes you can't even see the hill unless you are on top of it looking down.

Oh... I didnt know that, of course!!!
That explains it, Tim...

It may be frustrating for you sometimes not being able to capture what you would
like to... and it also turns me more understanding to the reasons why you take
the photos in that way.

I honestly appreciate your patience towards me so much.
I really do...

Hug!!!
