Believe it or not, the church on the right has been long closed, but the old general store on the left is being remodeled by someone.

Very nice. The one to the right reminds me of an old school I went to in my younger days! Love the square tower on it.

That's the church and the big on on the left is the old general store. There was once a railway station, a mill, and a school.

I guess a church explains the tower! Ah, a general store where the family lived above it no doubt. I've seen that too. My first job at 12 yrs old was working the general store for the family that owned it. It was also the post office and the gas station. How the locals loved to tease me by pulling in with their big pickups and asking me to check the oil!!! I'm just barely 5 foot now so you can picture how short I was then. That's ok, I got my 3 step ladder and did it for them! I like to think I got the last laugh!

I wish I had pics of it from when I was a kid! It looked like an abandoned general store back then, with all the usual stuff inside including the post office part, and tin ceilings. Now it's junked up.

I'd forgotten about tin ceilings!! They're so pretty no matter whether they're painted or not.
