Hi Tim, this is a beautiful photo. These are actually called Trilliums, and are the flower of Ontario. It is illegal to pick them. The also come in a reddish colour. Just thought you would like to know how the same flowers are called something different in different places.

No, I don't think so. They are the first flowers of spring here that are visible from a distance because they grow in clusters on rocky, shady, damp hillsides.
