A few months ago, in a search-for-reasoning kind of attack, I put all those hundreds of toys my kids have in black plastic garbage bags and left them with only one toy of their choice. That taught them how to cherish what they have. It only took a day for them to realize how lucky they were.
Then I took my eldest to see, at a distance, where the children I work with live and under what conditions. I'm glad it worked and that he is sensible enough to have grown a bit with that confront of realities.
It's a lesson in life. It's what this series of you is, a lesson in life.
