yea, but see, my theory is this:
1) those mugs are too heavy to be lifted by the mouth, and
2) they are specially designed, so that one can simply fit their (arm?) into the handle, like a bracelet.

This reminds me of a fanfic I read on Fimfiction about an earth ponny filly whose special talent was magic.
What more, it was written by a guy who worked on Assassin's Creed.
I have actually been brainstorming for ways on how to get an earth pony Wonderbolt fan into the group itself, built on both sheer ambition, stubborn perseverence, and a knack for mechanics. Meanwhile, some villain is looking to undermind that.
