amazing animation... so for the software to work, does it have to be in seperate layers or something? or if you just have a final flattened image, you can still animation selected bits of it? <3

It does not have to be in separate layers. You can work with a final flattened image. Software is able to animate selected parts of a still image.

It does the animation loop almost automaticaly, some tuning is requred. You can test the free demo if you are interested

For creating this GIF I use the following technique:
I export animation into PNG sequence
I set duration to 6.2 sec (if your brush animations have speed 100, it make a perfect loop for them)
I set loop transition duration to 1 or 2 sec
Then I load the PNG images into GIMP (you can use photoshop instead) and render them into GIF format.
The quality is better and the size is smaller!

oh wow...awesome bro... thanks for this PRO tip... interesting... so do you export 24fps? do you use the default max HD res of the artwork for the sequence? and do you export GIF optimized for web and stuff?^_^

Usually I export about 15 fps and use max resolution. I resize layers later in GIMP.

The file size of my GIFs on DA is about 6 - 8 Mb and the resolution of the longest side is 480 pixels.
Actually for DA I create GIF in different way.
I save animation into MOV format, then upload the video to giphy.com and save the final GIF when giphy finishes conversion. (I do this because giphy offers the easiest way to submit GIFs on social media).
Unfortunately, giphy can make only 8 sec and 480 pixels animations.

oh... interesting... who would have thought... thanks for sharing the info bro... so, if you are not submitting online via Giphy... and if you follow your previous method of using GIMP and png sequence from DP Animation maker, then what is your pixel resolution of the final export from GIMP and what would that size be approx?

Hmm. I used GIMP for creating transparent GIF. A GIF with larger transoparent area 600x600 was 450Kb.
But I desided to make an experement and test all 3 techiques on my next aniamtion for DA. Here is the result
imgur.com/a/EatHZW1
all images 330x480
GIMP - very fast process, poor quality, 6499 Kb file size
giphy.com - fast process, good quality, 8538 Kb file size
PHOTOSHOP - very slow process, exelent qulity, 5910 Kb file size
It seems that the PHOTOSHOP gif render is the best, though loading frames and adjusting settings take too much time.

oh wow...that was amazing the way you put the three formats to show me... GIMP actually deteriorated the image quality a lot...probably cuz it omitted various colour ranges for the gradient in order to reduce file size...
I love how GIPHY and PHOTOSHOP output are really similar... interesting... but still these sizes are way better than what I have...haha... mine goes about 16-20MB for approx. 500px dimensions... if i want the same quality as the one you have for GIPHY or PHOTOSHOP...
Have to play around with more... thank you so much for your detailed responses...much appreciate it bro
