My contest entry for The valkyrie Sigrun
Time: 9 hours+ in GIMP 2.8

I really liked the idea of painting a Valkyrie and was instantly taken by Sigrun's weapons made of energy, along with her telekinetic abilities. That's why she's not holding the shield by the way, I reckoned she could control it without actually having to touch it ^_^ I was trying to make her look like a martial, strong woman, casually playing with the remains of her last challenger. Given that she's a cold and serious person who doesn't like to smile but rather fight, I settled for a pose challenging the spectator to a duel.

I was pushing myself this time a lot to work hard on the shading of her skin, trying to make it look smooth and shiny, like after physically hard training. Also, I tried to incorporate some Norse elements such as the brooch on her fur belt (I used a reference from Google for it)... to top things off, I decided Sigrun needed some warpaint, so I went for it ... maybe it's bloo~od D:!! The rules allowed for different outfits, so I hope Noire-Ighaan will recognise her baby TT3TT ...
