I got to say, across your work, I feel drawn in particular to these more sci-fi oriented pieces. This one specifically is one of my personal favourites of yours, and if this is a portion from a larger and ongoing project then I can't wait for the complete work.

Why, thank you. Science fiction has been a lifetime passion and it continues to be. Though much of my current work is contemporary anthro themed, it is no secret the modern anthro community grew out of American sci-fi. They are berries on the same vine.
Much of my space art on dA is standalone, but this and some of the more recent are from a setting intended as pulp planetary romance, with rocketships, magic swords, unpronounceable names, suspect potions, barbarians and ray guns - and a touch of its revival as 80's fantasy while at it.
Currently I have little free time and have opted to develop my painting first, but the project is ongoing. If you are curious, there is a draft of the intro here:
Let No One Hunger: IntroI will tell you the story of the monster Smotherer.
I will also tell you the story of the hero Lili. I will tell how she won the right to be queen over the ferrets on the world of Yrrbron, but mark my words, this is not her story alone. To relate the tale of her quest, which is a long tale indeed, is to relate the tale of the beast she felled. Remember that even among heroes the lives of Men are short, and their years easily counted, but the years of monsters are not. Though her triumph appears so assured now, never forget that throughout her long and perilous journey that hideous würm sat uncontested in its lair, or roamed violently among worlds in a manner Men cannot hope to understand and which would certainly erode their minds to naught if they so could. Throughout that time it sent out doom a thousand-thousand times, not least upon the countless many who sought to bring its reign to end. Valiant, stalwart, or only madmen who knew no fear, they were without exception destroyed
Long story short, this is a world where monsters rule and humans balance between barbarism and outright savagery.
