You cant have too many studies. Yes but do as many master studies, they help your work improve faster.I find that it's best to study 2 master's. One with a similar art style to yours and one with drastically different style. The reason I say to study a artist with a completely different style to yours is to help you recognise what is good and unique about your style, it gives you a chance to use different methods that could be transferred into your normal work and it makes your style more developed and diverse. That's only my humble opinion though.

I've been playing with the idea of copying a old painter with no connection to my usual style whatsoever. I give up before I start every time because it's kinda scary, but I'll get to it eventually. I hope.
